Route spanning 7,000 kilometers: transporting a bus from China to France

Each oversized cargo shipment is a standalone project with its own specific requirements, constraints, and route. This time, our team was tasked with delivering a double-decker bus from China to France, where it would become part of a large-scale project aimed at developing modern urban infrastructure in Paris.

Work on the project began even before the vehicle entered the transport route. Due to the non-standard width and height of the bus, the shipment required obtaining special permits in all transit countries. The route had to be agreed in advance, existing restrictions verified, and uninterrupted passage of the cargo through several national borders ensured.

Preparation took approximately one week. During this time, our logistics specialists developed the transportation scheme, arranged all necessary permitting documentation, and prepared the transport equipment for the shipment.

By the time our work began, the bus was already located at the Alashankou border station, where the shipper had delivered it directly from China. From that point onward, our team assumed full responsibility for organizing the international transportation.

Low-bed trailers were used for the shipment — the optimal solution for transporting oversized equipment. This type of transport ensures cargo stability throughout the entire journey and enables safe movement across thousands of kilometers of international routes.

The route to the final destination passed through seven countries: China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Germany, and France. At each stage, strict compliance with legal requirements and the conditions specified in special permits was mandatory.

One of the key logistics hubs along the route was Brest. Here, the bus was transloaded onto a European low-bed trailer. After that, the cargo continued its journey within the European Union and was delivered directly to the consignee in France.

The transportation was carried out from May 29 to June 12. During this period, the bus covered 7,000 kilometers of international route and successfully arrived in Paris within the agreed timeframe.
