Import procedures in Russia are rather complicated, hard to be described in a few lines. A lot of administrative bars and incomprehensible requests from Russian customs authorities sometimes make import procedures tedious and expensive. That is why Transconsult advises everybody to ask professionals for assistance. Transconsult offers you or your clients a comprehensive service, tackling the entire route from the Consignor of the goods to the Consignee`s warehouse.

I have extremely valuable cargo. How to deliver it safe?
First of all, you have to double-check the haulier. Does it exist or it is a phantom-company? Numerous episodes of cargo being stolen en route have recently been evidenced worldwide.
Second, you are to check on the CMR insurance policy of the haulier. The policy is supposed to cover the value of the goods at least within the limits of the CMR liability. Should you place your transport order with a forwarding company – make sure to check it has to be insured, either.
To avoid overpayment for the transportation of the HVG, it is preferable to employ a hauler certified by the Russian customs authorities.
It is strongly advisable to check if the haulier or forwarder are referred by well- known companies. And it`s only reasonable to entrust your goods for the delivery to professionals. HIGH-VALUE CARGOES

How long does it take to deliver cargo from the Netherlands to Russia? From Germany to Russia?
To calculate the average transit time, you can use the following formula: distance/ km divided by 450 = transit time/ days, eg. Utrecht to Moscow = 2500km/450 = 6 days transit time.
Employing our own fleet, we reduce the time for communication, and can regulate the speed of trucks movement, minimizing risks.
